It is not just bad and selfish and greedy Laws promoted by Animal Rights Organizations and their Retail Rescue partners we need to be concerned about. Our culture at large is under attack. When Animal Rights Activists harass and force companies to submit to their will, we all lose. And that is exactly what has happened here with Alaska Airlines severing its sponsorship of the Iditarod Dog Sled Race.
PeTA (The People for the ethical Treatment of Animals) has successfully emasculated Alaska Airlines. Apparently, someone at the Alaska Airlines lacked the fortitude and integrity to stand up to these attention-seeking activists after protests and whatever else it is that they do.
The recent Alaska Airlines decision to dump the Iditarod really is a slap-in-the-face to America. It is an assault on our proud heritage of animal ownership, animal husbandry, and the beautiful symbiotic relationship that mankind and animals have enjoyed for thousands and thousands of years. Enter the emaciated worldview of PeTA, which pulls endless graphic publicity stunts in order to agitate our society,...and of course, to procure millions of dollars in donations. The Alaska Airlines decision to drop the sponsorship of The Iditarod illustrates a lack of principle, decency, and good taste. And all for what? Alaska Airlines got a lousy box of vegan chocolates. Print THAT on a t-shirt!
The lesson: No organization should ever bow down to animal rights activists and their ridiculous political correctness. Ever.
